Who killed Sal in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder?
Andie and Sal’s English teacher Elliot Ward (Mathew Baynton) killed Sal. Elliot suffocated Sal and shoved sleeping pills down his throat after the former wanted to frame him for Andie’s murder. The texts that were sent from Sal’s phone were actually written by Elliot and were a nod to how that text was written in perfect English in comparison to his other texts.
Andie had an inappropriate relationship with Elliot and wanted to leave town with Sal. However in a heated argument, her sister Becca throws Andie against the wall when she revealed her plan. Having already been through another head traumatic injury when Andie was arguing with Elliot just moments before, Andie fell with an awful traumatic injury and was choking on her own vomit. Not knowing what to do, Becca dumped her body in the woods.
Elliot confessed to Sal’s murder when he was drunk to a girl named Isla. He then trapped Isla in the attic of a house so that she could not find the police. Isla talked to Pip and Ravi and the duo decided to call the police. Elliot was arrested there and then, and the next steps for the sleuths was to find and confront Andie’s killer.
