Amelia Dimoldenberg, please let me match your socially awkward, but incredibly charming freak. The Chicken Shop Date host was at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in London yesterday wearing the poshest, most business formal thing that you wouldn’t believe she eats chicken tenders and brings a weird vibe to the hang professionally. Wimbledon is always a cultural moment, but an especially stylish one now that we live in a post–Challengers world.
Dimoldenberg brought some real American energy to the iconic British championship, wearing a Ralph Lauren pinstripe look. She had a crisp white shirt and a striped crochet muted blue tie. Over top of that, she wore a vested waistcoat and a pair of straight leg trousers, along with some nude pumps. She also had a cream colored shoulder bag. As for glam, it was giving very simple—a chic blowout and natural-looking makeup. She was styled by Chloe Griffin, who seems to be her go-to girl for the events she’s got lined up and down her calendar.
This leaves me with so many mixed feelings. On one hand, Amelia slays DOWN in this fit, and I’m honestly quite inspired to incorporate something similar into a look. But on the other hand, does this mean what I think it means? That we are actually going back to business casual at the club? Because those are some dark days I was hoping we’d have learned from and left in the past. But whatever. I’ve been to the club, and so far we’re safe. Brat summer might have saved us from a dark fate, and we can leave the business wear for sporty things like this.
