Great Lakes Lacquer has created two gorgeous icy shades for the Facebook group Rainbows & Unicorn Pee, which celebrates glowy, multichrome pigments, originally the special pigment used in Urban Decay Toxin, called “unicorn pee” in the polish collecting community, but now expanded to a variety of substitutes as that discontinued pigment has gotten rare. The polishes are available through February 18 on the Great Lakes Lacquer site. You must be a member of the Facebook group to order the polishes. The price is $13.50 each or $25 for both. Let’s have a look!*press samples*Great Lakes Lacquer Broken Sunshine is a sheer white jelly with violet-red-gold-green multichrome iridescent flakes and holo microflakes. The flakes themselves have a blue-green tinge to them. I wore it in four thin coats, but two or three will cover. It needs top coat for smoothness and shine. Great Lakes Lacquer Michigan Winter Sunsets is a white jelly with violet-red-orange-gold multichrome iridescent shimmer with an aqua-tinged element, and very subtle holo shimmer. I wore it in four thin coats, but two or three will cover. It had a fast-drying formula that was amazingly smooth and luminous with no bubbling or texture. This looks like mother-of-pearl on your nails. Now for live swatches! You can pick these polishes up through February 18 if you join Rainbows & Unicorn Pee and enter your Facebook name on checkout at the Great Lakes Lacquer shop. Each is priced at $13.50 or $25 for both. I love the icy Winter look Mariah channeled here!*press sample*Great Lakes Lacquer is made in Michigan by Mariah.
